Thousands of Utility Poles Replaced Under Challenging Conditions
The Hilton Road Project required a full rebuild of every utility pole in southern Ferndale from 8 Mile Road to 9 Mile Road, one of the largest projects of its kind. Due to changes in the substations the entire circuit had to be converted from a 4800 circuit to 13.2 circuit. This project required very careful planning and execution due to the unusually narrow residential lots, some as narrow as 45 feet.
The LeCom team successfully performed their duties while simultaneously protecting the property of the residents from damage. This project lasted over three years requiring the replacement of thousands of utility poles. LeCom is happy to report this project was completed ahead of schedule and under budget by our team of highly skilled and safety-orientated linemen.
